1. Years ago, I came home from work and discovered that my cat, Boots, had thrown up pink and purple skinny ribbons

about four inches long on the livingroom rug. I had no idea where she got them. I searched everywhere and couldn't find any pink or purple ribbons. I called the emergency vet and they told me what symptoms to look out for and if she exhibited any of them to bring her in.

I think throwing the ribbons back up probably saved her. It's my understanding that ribbons, strings, rubber bands and the like can do a lot of damage to a cat's insides.
