Well, it doesn't look like a lot... [View all]

But when you sink a shovel into it, you realize just how much is there. 6 cubic yards. Pic below.

That's a lot for an older guy, so I'll likely be in here soon whining and crying about my back, looking for sympathy.

Also, I mentioned the other day that when I went to the nursery to order the mulch, I was playfully bitten by their huge dog...he got a little excited while I was talking to him and petting him. I originally thought he had just dented my skin with his teeth, but on closer examination, I saw the tiniest of puncture wounds. So, when it was delivered, I queried the guy about his dog's vaccination status.

He assured me emphatically that the dog is up to date on his shots, and offered to show me the paperwork. I'll be going there today to view it, just to ease my mind.

Coincidentally, he informed me that the same dog was attacked by a strange acting racoon later in the day that I was up there. He had to shoot the racoon, and transport the carcass for analysis.

His yard is very rural, and he is not the first person who has told me about seeing strange acting animals during the day around here.

You never know...
