6. I retired from the AF at 53

Monday

I was fortunate in that I was able to save and invest to be able to retire early. I took a job with the VA as a GS-13 but didn't like it and quit after 3 months and haven't worked since. I did some volunteer work but realized I liked not working more than working even though when I was in the AF I was a workaholic and enjoyed it. If I had to work at 60 or older I'd be miserable.
