14. After a day at the beach, my parents would take us to A&W for a frosted glass of root beer as a treat

Every once in a while to Howard Johnson’s for an ice cream cone. Those were bribes because when we got home, we had to wash the car because of the salt from the beaches! We were too young to get it but everyone was happy 😃
