1. The choral version of the Canon at the beginning of the film "Ordinary People" had lyrics.

That movie was the first time I had ever heard the Canon, and have been utterly captivated ever since.

I don’t tolerate complaints that the Canon is hackneyed, boring, or overexposed. It is, quite simply, the most beautiful, nearly-perfect piece of music ever written.
