Got my thrift store shirt quilt top done. Just need to add border strips of natural muslin and medium blue solid. Hope to get the top done this weekend. This was such an easy pattern, took longer to cut than it did to sew.
I had decided that I wanted a blue willow quilt. I took a picture of one my plates and printed it on fabric. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I decided to lay the blocks out in Diamond pattern. A blue willow plate block edged by a blue on blue print. The alternating block has a 16 patch block using all blue prints, edged in natural muslin.
This project will go fast, the blocks are 10.5 inches and I need 20 plate blocks and 16 patchwork blocks. I have all the fabric cut for the blocks and have all my plate blocks printed. Shouldn't take long to sew up.
