I quit performing in 2007. Juggling my work travel schedule with gigging added stress to what what was supposed to be a fun, though lucrative, hobby.
Now at 69, I don't want to be moving gear at 2 in the morning.
Today if I choose to perform, I take one guitar to an open mic night.
No gear to move; go early & leave early.
I came to terms with not performing because it occurred to me that I'll be a musician whether I perform or not. Performing is a "been there, done that" for me.
Alas, this song doesn't lend itself to me & a 12 string guitar.
