Those wonderful windows probably lose a great deal of heat at night too. Is the structure insulated in any way (just curious)? Do you have to move around up there just to keep the blood flowing and to stay alert?

You have an interesting job. I worked with lots of USFS employees as someone who did work for the state of MN on water quality. But we were pretty well frozen while wading through cold water, or trying to retrace our routes to recover forgotten car keys.
