Paul Simon was the first musical guest singing Homeward Bound, and last was Paul Mcartney with his rockin band playing Carry That Weight into The End. In between were some pretty good skits with names big & small, and some nostalgia covering the 50 years of SNL.

If you never liked or watched the show, I understand it's a matter of taste. 1975 was my transition year from high school to college, and SNL is etched into that phase of my life. It had some stinkers over the years, even bad taste, but a lot of great comedy and talented performances as well.

RIP to cast members no longer with us, especially Gilda Radner.
