"The 6th District runoff election is being watched closely by Washington as many see it as a litmus test on the popularity of Trump's ideology on the local level. Handel, who failed to mention Trump in a rousing speech after the April 19 special election, has embraced the president as the Republican Party looks to put on a unified front to stave off Ossoff, who is benefiting from support from Democratic heavyweights as well as celebrities.
Trump is scheduled to speak Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Hall A3 of the Congress Center in downtown Atlanta, part of an area that he called "falling apart" and "crime infested" earlier this year in a Twitter rant against Rep. John Lewis, who represents it as part of Atlanta's 5th Congressional District."
