The National Weather Service has issued a high surf warning as giant surf is expected to hit the north and west shores of most islands late Tuesday through Wednesday.

The warning begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday and ends 6 a.m. Thursday, the Weather Service said.

Surf heights will be 25 to 35 feet along north shores and 15 to 25 feet along west shores of Niihau, Oahu, Molokai, and Maui.

Expect surf to dramatically rise on Kauai on Tuesday morning and on Oahu, Molokai, and Maui on Tuesday afternoon. Surf heights will peak Wednesday morning, but warning level surf will remain through Wednesday night.

Any chance they'll hold the Eddie Aikau competition?
