I was just at a funeral a week or so ago and spoke with the former mayor of our small town. I hadn't spoken with him in decades, but after the usual chit chat we got to politics. One question we kept asking ourselves. Why, why, why, do my fellow Kentuckians constantly vote against their own interest. Our conclusion, three reason: abortion, guns, and gays......still these same issues.
Our poorly educated voters, and we have millions, vote on those issues only. The old God, Guns, and Gays vote is alive here. That is an old argument, and we still haven't caught up.
