8. We get lots of pitties at our shelter in NW VA too

At any given time it's hard to tell whether we have more of them or medium-large hound mixes. Those seem to be our frequent inhabitants. Occasionally we'll get a pit who has a problem like resource guarding, but more of them are just undisciplined kids who need some training. Most of our "bite holds" tend to be shepherd mixes, Rottweilers and Rott mixes, and assorted small dogs, mostly terrier types--does that surprise you?
