We had 13 in 1985. That one was a disaster because I was on the road!! It was a Saturday afternoon and Incarnate Word refused to cancel our NCLEX review class despite there being several inches of snow on the ground. So I borrowed my parents "whale" (station wagon) and went to class. It ended around 2 pm.

OMG...I had to drive home.

The entire city was shut down. Including any Stop N Go's where I could call my parents or my dear fiancé from. (I at least wanted to say goodbye before I died)

I was scared shitless. I had moved from WI in 1982 and we had snowplows.

I felt like I was in the ultimate third world driving adventure from hell. It took me almost six hours to get home.
It was one giant donut fest after another and fear of literally getting stuck in the snow.
