Paxton wouldn’t be facing what Cornyn was blessed with for years in Texas general elections: a smaller and weaker Democratic voter base and the apathetic citizens who chose to stay home. Paxton doesn’t look like a senator and the electorate is angry at Orange Julius and his party.
