Man dies after driving into floodwaters [View all]
EVERETT First responders pulled a body from a vehicle submerged in floodwaters early Tuesday morning in Snohomish after the driver drove past road closed signs.
Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Snohomish County Sheriffs Office deputies and fire personnel responded to a report of a vehicle in the water near the 6600 block of Marsh Road, according to a sheriffs office social media post. The driver reportedly drove past road closed signs on Lowell Larimer Road and Marsh Road before continuing north on Marsh Road into an area affected by recent historic flooding.
The vehicle then entered a lower farmland/ditch area containing approximately six feet of water, the post said. Fire rescue swimmers removed the driver from the vehicle, which was completely submerged in water.
First responders attempted lifesaving measures before pronouncing the driver deceased at the scene. No other occupants were in the vehicle.

That's a bit east of me. That area is usually under water when it floods.
