Airlines add new Sea-Tac flights to Bay Area ahead of Super Bowl [View all]

The Seahawks are once again headed to the Super Bowl, and airlines are looking to capitalize on the 12s flying to the Bay Area for the big game.

Delta, United, American and Alaska airlines are all adding flights to San Jose and San Francisco for the game, when the Seahawks will face off against the New England Patriots in a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX.

Alaska Airlines is adding 16 round-trip flights between Seattle and San Francisco and San Jose for the game, with the flights listed online Monday.

Delta Air Lines already operates five daily flights between the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the San Francisco International Airport. But the airline will add one additional flight on Feb. 9, the Monday following the game, an airline spokesperson said.
