There is a mayoral election in town. Since I live in the country, I do not get to vote in that.

I was the first person from the country to vote in my precinct, and it was 2:00 in the afternoon!

I will grant you that there was not much on the ballot for us country folk. But local elections are critical. There were library board members, school board members and the community college board members. How can people not see that this is important?

I kicked my husband's butt out the door to vote as soon as I got home.

I have to set a good example, since I am the Democratic precinct committee person for my precinct.
