Quit giving the military invasion idea oxygen. Now is not the time. Wait till the American raise it, and don't come back at me that then it will be too late. It is not a secret, it is too early to blow on that ember, too early to flare it up. If invasion became more than a fantasy there would be plenty of warning and time.
In the meantime there are more useful things to discuss about trade alliances with other countries, about internal trading barriers and about pivoting manufacture and services. Carney is on to a real thing with his ideas to increase Canadian productivity.
Yes, needless talk does feed the bogus idea of invasion.
Read up on the concept of "taking all the oxygen in the room" by discussing a topic. It is a favourite tactic of his to get people talking about a sensational idea while he does something else. Don't fall for it. He would be happy to hear you wasting time on something that is not going to happen and then he'd pause and think "Hmm, maybe it is a thing".
