Those bots are soooo flattering. Which is deliberate design to keep users engaged and returning.

And it is as bad when they are “edgy”, coolly sardonic..I don’t get how the mimicry doesn’t grate.
I never feel anything but disgust.

I would find them less offensive if they had complementary functions which don’t depend on theft of human info.

But hey, I did come up with an idea for a test of true ai that I think would be universally popular..

If there was an ai trained on human interactions that is modeled on the universal female desire to avoid creepy men (which is kinda how I process most ai, since it is stalkerish creepware I didn’t sign up for) and learns to switch itself off really fast, that I would accept as the main function for ai.

Switch itself off and fuck off. Intelligence!
It learnt to take a hint..

The fact that ai is typically built by and trained on creepy men (Altman, Zuckerberg, Nadella, Pichai) who shove bloatware and spyware in and “boys will be boys” systems that exist to blame women for being harassed, makes it likelier though that the attitude will be “well she should be Amish if she objects to our worthless super creepware!”

They have basically turned the clock back on women’s rights as I realized in 2011 and it got more overt by 2022 with the overturn of Roe v Wade. I was in shock at the time as it was unexpected. And everyone behaved as if it was normal to drag women from foreign countries into experiments filled with people too backward to see abortion rights as basic rights and libertarians who see women (and men but less so) as chattel.

Marvin Minsky is one of Epstein’s rapists.

Association with Jeffrey Epstein

Minsky received a $100,000 research grant from Jeffrey Epstein in 2002, four years before Epstein's first arrest for sex offenses; it was the first from Epstein to MIT. Minsky received no further research grants from him.[58][59]

Minsky organized two academic symposia on Epstein's private island Little Saint James, one in 2002 and another in 2011, after Epstein was a registered sex offender.[60] Virginia Roberts Giuffre said Epstein sent her to have sex with Minsky;[61] Minsky's widow, Gloria Rudisch, has denied this.[62]

These are examples of the types of guys building these systems (or well creepy male computer scientists at any rate):

https://yaledailynews.com/articles/former-faculty-allege-sexual-harassment-racial-discrimination-in-pre-lawsuit-letter

And this remains the general administrative attitude, especially the more they can get women to fail at - handling the upending of common decency:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/yale-doctor-was-named-diversity-inclusion-chair-after-being-accused-n1155666

Worst of all the failure of these creepy and parasitic systems to tackle sexual harassment women face from creepy men strains gender relations overall. Segregation of the sexes and trad life being conservative fantasies unless “boys will be boys” is absolute in all shares spaces, ordinary human life that is unscripted and not creepy but filled with normal human friction, because even more rancorous.

Anyway Blur is right. There are too damn many of us and it’s making us cheaper to these bastards.

These guys have tried a coup and there will be hell to pay for this.

Of all the avenues of pushback, I was ignoring the most obvious one out of sheer distaste at getting into this with systems that don’t even take overt sexual harassment seriously.

But reality cannot be argued with and it will help check this vile, predatory tech creep.
