I call them low-tech spam, or they're more like the robo-dialed nuisance calls.

Somebody somewhere will be dumb enough to open it and read it. If the company gets one sale out of 10,000 it pays for the stupid junk mailing. It all goes into the landfill, which really makes me sick to think about. What a waste of money.
