AT&T cellphone plan [View all]

I was given notice by AT&T in the early morning of September 7 (yesterday/Monday/Labor Day) that I had used 75% of coverage with 15 days to go until the end of the billing cycle. But they would be magnanimous and give me 300 MB more for another $20 for that cycle.

OK, so I decided not to use my phone for anything but taking calls and texting for 15 days. And resolved, I put my celphone in my purse while I was working yesterday, not taking it out once.

4:00 this morning, AT&T gives me a new text, that I am now 90% of 600MB of shared data for the billing period ending on 2020-09-24. OK, how'd I use 15% of the 600 MB in less than 24 hours with my phone unused in my purse?

I'm on hold with AT&T, livid. I don't know if they'll reduce the 90%, but I'm sure as Hell not going to let them tack on another $20 to my monthly bill.
