Well folks, It's time to move on... [View all]

I had been "elected" host of this forum after a minor dust up last year. And after a year of serving, I will be retiring. It seems I'm the only one that posts in this forum for much of the time and I seem to be my only audience.

Peak Oil is still occuring but it's not so much in vogue now that gas prices and oil prices in general have dropped. So the hair on fire panic has subsided for the moment.

And don't be fooled by the concept that the US will ever be "energy independant" via fossil fuels. That whole concept has a lot of problems to begin with, least of all pumping more carbon, heavy metals and other climate change causing chems into the air.

Anyway it's been a good run.

And I will stop posting my semi-daily Drumbeats since it appears no one bothers to read them. Oh well.

I wish those few of you who still visit this forum, all the best.

Take care, drive less, use a bike, get solar panels if you are able and think of the future,
Cheers,
Javaman
