1. The USSR lost 20 Milion in WWll, no telling how many more in Afganistan and other wars, now 1 million more.

Russia's population is now about 145 million but because of all these lost millions, it should've been many tens of millions more.

What is it about the Russian character that they are willing to sustain so many deaths that just lead to even more losses and a poorer economy?

Putin's gigantic ego's refusal to settle for peace/lose in the Ukraine war epitomizes it. Such great leaders that society comes up with , they've never managed to form a democracy.

Pathetic. And with all that land that can hold millions more.
