In some Russian parks, visitors are encountering a highly unusual form of “entertainment.” Actors dressed in NKVD uniforms approach people, demand documents, simulate arrests, and even take fingerprints – all as part of a staged “historical experience.” Presented as a playful reconstruction of the past, this attraction draws from one of the most oppressive periods in Soviet history.
