Of course I wish they would finally do SOMETHING - besides tut-tut as they have done for 17 months. But the monarchies and dictators are beholden to the U.S. One might even call them client states.

As bin Salman is reported to have said, he doesn't care about Palestinians, but added that his people do.

It will all hinge on what "his people" and the rest of the Arab Street are willing to do and how destabilizing that will be for their rulers - who I don't think want to upset the apple cart, especially now.

So barring an unlikely Arab revolution against their rulers, I don't hold out much hope.
