7. I watched it each season when it came out.

I was sad when it ended. However, it got me hooked on finding more British TV shows and downloading the app for Acorn TV. I've watched some pretty great TV that I would have overlooked if I hadn't started on Downton Abbey first. Well, there's also Call the Midwife. I think I was hesitant to watch anything British for a long time because years ago I found I couldn't catch a lot of what was being said because of the heavy British accent, but these shows are more understandable nowadays.
