13. I would suggest attending AA meetings and asking

There. Many AA meetings are “open” meetings and you could attend. Folks in the room probably know the good ones and the ones to avoid. Try to go to a larger discussion meeting where you can ask. Also, could try al anon for ideas.

In my work life, I reviewed studies of rehab facilities. The most effective were not the most expensive. You don’t need gardens, spas, and yoga classes to get sober or clean. You might need medical intervention to detox or rehab. I went to out patient rehab and it was great. I also know many who never went to rehab and instead just did AA or NA.
