Things that help are to keep the engine from getting in on the action. Eat what your body likes you to eat, not what your emotions like. Go outside find a bird, a tree, anything to focus on. Take your mind elsewhere. Any kind of exercise you can do for as long or as short a time as you want. I know my on-line activities do not help. It's so hard to look away when there's so much going on, but the reality of now frees me from it all. The past is dead, the future isn't real but right now? Right now is it okay? A new thing I started is when I find myself roaming around in the past is I tell myself "I love you" to me. Somehow it interrupts the show and changes the path I'm on.
