2. Fish Fry

Going to a fish fry fundraiser in an hour. Buffalo is crazy for their Friday fish fries because of the large Catholic population when meat was prohibited on Fridays, even though that tradition was stopped by the church many years ago. I’ve always loved a good fish fry ever since childhood when the fish of choice was walleye, aka “yellow” pike which was long ago replaced by haddock in the early 70s. So I’ll have beer battered haddock, fries, cole slaw, macaroni salad, rye bread and butter. I’ll probably only eat the fish, slaw and fries. A guilty pleasure which I only do a couple times a year.
