5. Given it's in the 90s, I was uninterested in anything but a cool meal

Monday

BLTs and salad. The salad was mostly lettuce, but with some Caprese - tomato chunks, mozzarella pieces and torn basil. I needed to cut back the basil in the garden considerably and will have to throw the rest into a stir-fry later this week. Some of the lettuce was thinnings from the salad area of the garden, too. (The rest was bought.)

I can hardly wait for more plants to be ready. It's fun going out to shop in the back yard. Now if the squirrels will start leaving my jalapenos alone...
