I haven't used Android in a very long time.

There is a difference between allowing a browser to access photos (like to upload to a host for DU posting) and Google accessing your photos to store in their cloud.

I tell Apple NOT to copy my photos to their cloud, but I do allow browsers to access them, since I control when that happens.

Best asked in the Computer Help forum where Android experts can be found.

I can't say for sure that the browser can only access your photos. If it didn't ask for permission, then permission must have been granted sometime in the past or by default.

If this alone bothers you, either ask a way to undo permissions (in Computer Help) or just don't store documents like credit card photos and other personal info there.
