1. 20 years ago, my Uncle gave me a few rootballs of asparagus for my garden

Tuesday

I wasn't too excited -- my only experience with asparagus was as a child, and our asparagus came in a can. I let the asparagus go to seed the first year, not paying much attention to it.
The next year I was grilling in the backyard, and saw some decent new shoots in the garden. I smeared some butter on them, popped them on the grill, and have been an asparagus fan ever since!
