The first was sudden, the second had a sick spell and was diagnosed in time to try

She refused to eat the low protein kidney food so I had to figure something out

I found a new vet who told me that kidney protocol was developed for dogs, who we know are omnivores not pure carnivores like cats are

The basics are that it’s important they eat the wet food and that and their kibble should be all meat. Grains, vegetables, anything else makes their organs work harder

I feed my current cat this way and she’s fat and gorgeous, so far so good 😊
