goes bonkers over are mesh laundry baskets. It's enclosed like a box, but the mesh sides mean they can see in all directions. Also, a couple have decided that rolling those rectangular baskets is the real cat's meow. Of course, dirty laundry still stays in piles in the closet, as the cats play with the laundry hamper! (LOL)
My youngest cat... 8 months old... loves fuzzy balls. BUT... while he does like to play by batting them around and chasing them, he does something NO other cat of mine has ever done. He brings one to me, drops it in my hand or lap (or on top of my face if I'm laying down) and then sits there and waits. I throw the fuzzy pom-pom ball and he races to fetch it and brings it back to drop in my hand so the whole game can continue.
I've never had a cat who played fetch before! He is an absolute delight. Not a huge cat like my others. I think, with his long, slender body and fine-boned physique and his small triangular head he must have a lot of Oriental in him. I used to have a Siamese, but she didn't play fetch. She sure could sing, tho! (LOL)
These fuzzy pom-pom balls are made up of just that... little pom-poms that are amassed together in a small ball. Kinda like a rocky meteor, I guess. He's claimed every one of them, and woe be to any of the other cats that takes an interest!
Also, one of my tuxedos has a "mine only" toy that she adores. It's got a round spoked wheel on top of a handle that, when you press the handle it flies off and down the hall. I call it her "helicopter" toy. It was originally in the kid's toy aisle, but I thought it might be a hit at the house with the cats, and I was right. Now, if only I could teach her to fetch and bring it back to me like Gabby does with his balls! (LOL)
