5. Sending love and scritches and healing vibes

Obviously money always has to be a consideration for us retirees. Also want to make mention of, for future reference , Pets Best insurance. The monthly cost was worth it when my girl recently had over $3,000 in vet bills and now has over $122 in monthly meds cost. I'd already met the $500 deductible so they reimbursed 80% and without that the $3,000+ would have been tough.

My guys only have it because the foster agency that took them in (after my friend died early in the pandemic) set up the insurance and I kept it because they pointed out that my girl's preexisting issues would make getting insurance difficult in the future. I'm so glad I did because the cost through the years has been well worth it now that she's racking up big vet bills.

I often say the cats have better insurance than I do and it's not entirely a joke.

I realize Holly's current situation wouldn't be covered but for future reference, it's turned out to be worth the cost for my guys.
