I'm not normally a huge fan of people buying pets for their kids for Christmas [View all]

But, I am taking a chance and hoping this turns out well.

Last August my daughter's 17-yo cat passed away. https://www.democraticunderground.com/116169255

My daughter is 27 and currently living at home. I know she is still grieving, but it has been four months and I couldn't think of anything better to get her for Christmas.

There were two options: A very scared 1-year-old who had recently had kittens, or a very friendly 2-year-old that I felt certain would find a home quickly. I chose the scared 1-year-old.

I'll let you all know how it goes in a few days.

P.S. We will not be traumatizing this kitty by packing her in a box and opening her up in the living room. We'll just lead my daughter to the master bathroom which will have a bow on the door.
