Poor Carys had a very traumatic night. [View all]

She didn't appear when I brought out the treats, last night, which was strange. I went out to the screened in porch and shook the treat bag. No Carys. I checked all around the house but she is pretty good at using that magical cat portal to the invisible.

An hour or so went by, no Carys. I checked around, again, under furniture. Nada. I was constantly looking out the porch door to see if the kittens were there instead of with their moms. I'm talking at least a dozen times. Eventually I figured she found a new hiding place, and I didn't see the kittens so I closed things up at about 10 and waited for the indictment to be unsealed. I finally switched off at midnight.

Then I woke up at 3:30. Still no Carys so I AGAIN went out on the porch and there she was, in a total state of panic, yowling and climbing up the screens. My heart broke!! She finally raced inside and I breathed a sigh of relief. Honestly, I looked and looked and LOOKED for her.

To try and make amends, I gave her a very special breakfast and she seems fully recovered. She even let me pick her up and give her some cuddles, which she rarely does. And now I know there's another magical cat portal on the screened in porch.
