10. My vet recommended this for a previous cat I had

She had cancer and I eventually had to put her down because of that but I fed her a small amount of this daily along with what little regular food she would eat for weeks prior and it had no bad effects. I've also fed it to my other kitty when she isn't eating well with no bad effects.

I've had other vets recommend this stuff to me and other patients - would they do that if it was so terrible for them?

Yes corn syrup and soy oil - the idea is to get calories and nutrients (both are high in calories and sugar) into pets not eating well, recovering, elderly or sick. You don't feed them this as a main diet - it's more like a snack or a treat - and it's not for long-term use

But...all that said, if the reviews bother you, don't buy the stuff or feed it to your pet!

EDIT: for anyone, check with your vet about this stuff and see what they say before giving it to your pet rather than relying on Amazon reviews.
