In 2010, which was the first year they allowed mixed breed dogs in obedience trials. It was April, the first weekend of the AKC season. My dog went out on the course and was performing very well until she pooped right in the middle of things. She is the first dog to leave mixed breed poop in an AKC judged event. It was her first competition, and I retired her after that. We still have her, and she was a rescue we now believe to be about 17 years old.
