As you have said, very quirky, but fascinating. I have recommended it many times.
I picked it up after reading a review of the book written by Margaret Atwood.

I have read many books about the French Revolution, but never told from the perspective of such a peculiar and unique character.
As an artist, I can relate to Little's passionate obsession. The suffering and exaltation of the artist in the meanest of circumstances is entirely compelling.
