4. Since this is in the sports forum, I feel it's valid to discuss the idea of him being a 'lauded' coach.

No. He wasn't. We're he a lauded coach, I and every Michigan fan would be sad to see him go. We're not. Had the alleged incidents not happened and he were dismissed solely for football reasons, I would at best master a 'meh' and go on with my day.
