Yesterday

They're refusing visas for Ethiopians, and they don't care there is a good reason for these Ethiopians applying for visas. At some level, those refusing the visas know they're wrecking the championships they're hosting, but they don't care, because they don't see this sport as worthwhile, and don't care it ruins the American reputation in future years.
