17. After giving up those four runs in the top of the ninth, I was absolutely sure the streak was over.

Then Pete Crow-Armstrong had that heroic two-run homer, and then I was absolutely sure they were going to win. As they did.

They have won nine straight overall, and 19 of their last 22.
They have won 15 straight at home, the longest such streak for the franchise since 1935. That year they went to the World Series, losing in six to the Detroit Tigers.
They have won an astonishing four straight series sweeps at home.
During this streak they have five walk-off wins.

Yeah, it's a long season. Last year they were toying with the best record in baseball until June. The Brewers caught fire in late May and were basically unstoppable in the regular season. The offense was amazing until suddenly it wasn't. But there are reasons to believe that 2026 is not 2025, one of which is that it seems like there's a different hero every game - a more sustainable formula than seeing the heart of the lineup pound homer after homer (like last year). They're fun to watch right now. Who knows how long it will last? It can't last forever, but the essence of being a baseball fan is not caring how long it lasts, and just enjoying the ride.
