You poked me mentioning Harry Caray. I have never been a fan of Harry Caray.
He announced the Cardinals games until he got fired for having an alleged affair with the wife of the team owners son.

When he announced for the White Sox, he would call the game while drunk, especially during the second game of a doubleheader.

Even with the Cubs, he sounded like he was slobbering when calling the game.
I would not consider him Great. His sons were better announcers.
When I watched the Cubs game I would listen to the radio broadcast of the games.

Anyway, that's how I feel about Harry Caray.
