called Merlin Bird ID. Listens for birds near you and identifies them. Has snippits of ther calls you can listen too as well. Found there a lot of birds around that I never imagined. We had a young Osprey (uncommon, reintroduced to the area about 10 years ago) hanging out behind our house for a while last summer. Never would have realized without the app, then I could pick him out in the trees
