He’s been truly great throughout his hall of fame career, but he should have retired a year or two ago. He showed his age tonight, embarrassed by the youthful Houston Texans as what might have been the last pass of his career gets intercepted for a pick-six. He just can’t run with the big dogs no more.

I also think the Steelers need to replace Mike Tomlin if they ever hope to breakout of the mediocrity of hanging on to old players and coaches that are well past their prime. Pittsburgh was gassed in the fourth quarter as Houston made it look easy. They new blood, and that can only happen when management decides to end Mike Tomlin’s tenure. The only thing he can hang his hat on is that he’s had so many consecutive ‘winning seasons’ if you count one game above .500 so many times a winning record.
