In reply to the discussion: Super bowl ad. [View all]BonnieJW
(2,848 posts)42. I am 74.
When I was a teenager, my mother's friend called a beautiful resort hotel to make a reservation for her parents who were coming to visit. This was the conversation.
"I would like to make a reservation for my parents for the week of February 15."
"Great. We have availability for that week. May I have your parents' name?"
"Silverman."
"Please hold."
Three minutes later.
"I'm so sorry, I've made a terrible mistake. My manager made another reservation and we are now fully booked for that entire week."
"I see. You know it's because of people like you that Jesus was born in a barn."

That ad has been playing in the Denver market for months now. I agree--very well done.

I've seen it many times and it still gives me the tears. If it doesn't touch something then something is missing.

That brought a tear...I thought of family members including my husband (a convert) and his daughter, a rabbi.
