I'm no longer a print journalist because there wasn't enough money to keep paying me. Actual journalism IS a product that costs money. People who want to read newspapers for free are one of the big reasons newspapers are dying. And the death of local newspapers is one of the reasons misinformation is on the rise. If you want something for nothing, eventually you'll get nothing.

I think the WaPo lets me "gift" six articles per month, maybe eight. I can't recall.
