(while you are on DU) you'll get a drop-down menu with the option to flip the switch on the line for "Enhanced Tracking Protection", to turn it off for DU. This will then put a cross-out through the shield. That may clear up the Firefox/embedded tweet thing.

You can also check the Firefox Settings under "Privacy & Security" and make sure you set " Enhanced Tracking Protection" to "Standard".

I remember awhile ago when I finally went ahead and upgraded a v78 Firefox to I think 89, and I ran into that where the default was a pretty strict security setting. Further upgrades since seemed to have kept it unchanged so far after I did some teweaks, but having uBlock Origin and/or Ghostery can also kill an embed (and other display functions) so either or both might have to be disabled for some sites, which I had to do in some cases.
